divination
Divination can be described as a way of obtaining otherwise inaccessible information. A diviner is a person who has an ability or method to access this information, and the desire and skill to reveal it to the seeker. That which is gained through successful divination can be used to order the future towards opportunity, while false divination only mires the seeker deeper in chaos.
Often people dismiss Divination as a superstitious shirking of accountability without realizing that it is an externalization of functions built into every human being. When we think, we ask ourselves questions - and our brains find the answers. When one is remembering, contemplating, reading, or otherwise acquiring information, blood flows to a certain region of the brain and electrochemical activity is stimulated that tunes the brain and nerves to specific forms of psychic energy. This is not unlike the casting of runes or tarot cards, or punching in an internet search. Most human activities are externalized natural processes.
Modern life can be confusing, and much of what we do depends on a predictable outcome. Unfortunately, dishonest charlatans flood the ears of seekers with nonsense, but this is nothing new. Improper divination has been around so long that even movies have been made about how dishonest "psychics" cut themselves off from integrity and truth, deception being the only service they can provide for the clients that have the misfortune to patronize them. Eventually their wall of fantasy blocks and distorts the flow of information that should pass between the client and the subtle realm, harming their own fortune, as well as the seeker's.
A true diviner understands that their work can have a profound impact on the life of the seeker, and that their own fortunes will be profoundly affected if they do less than their utmost at all times. A true diviner knows that sincerity, not show, is the vehicle in which the message for the seeker arrives. A true diviner realizes that divination is a one on one process; that the message is for one person or group, the person or group they are working with at the moment.
Receiving useful knowledge about one's destiny is an experience of profound significance, yet this experience is hard to find, even after these tens of thousands of years. This is why divination has existed for so long, and why the discipline will continue as long as human beings need to externalize the questioning process in order to find answers they cannot arrive at on their own.
There is one thing to remember though, and that is that imagination, commitment, certainty and action insure success, not the words of an advisor or consultant. This is why the best divinations will find the seeker, bringing to them that which is true for them.
