Note: I am about to re-order the library as the website undergoes a minor transformation. Most of the changes will be behind-the-scenes, and dedicated to greater user-friendliness. Some of the articles will be removed, and new articles and categories will appear. Please bear with us as the site evolves.

The goal of this online library is to collect some of the best short pieces on the practical application of ancient wisdom in today's world. You will find the work of well-known guest authors, and several written by, friends, colleagues and myself. Visiting the site often, you will come to know the regular contributors and find fascinating pieces that may help guide you towards the way of wisdom.

We consider our readers as part of a collaborative venture - a partnership of treasure hunters, hoping to discover what wisdom is, where to find it, and how to apply it to the day to day challenges we face in this increasingly complex world. As the website grows, you will find larger and more in-depth articles on philosophy and some of the more esoteric schools of psychology.

Please keep in mind that we refuse to rely on delusion, sensationalism or a "romantic mismatch between the self and the world" to get people interested in the wisdom traditions of the past. The subjects and articles chosen will have a single purpose: to move toward a universal theory of wisdom, and to understand how we can harness this elusive aspect of our humanity to make this human-dominated world more supportive of the growth and enlightment of all beings.

Also note that we will try to hyperlink all notes attached to articles for your convenience. If you have any other suggestions (other than a search engine, and RSS Feeds - I'm working on that) for reading convenience, please email the librarian. We are working hard to make this library a collection of the best material one can find on the subject of wisdom and its cultivation. Join in, and have a good time. Consider this a revolutionary act with nothing short of the liberation of wisdom as its goal.

The articles that do not have bold titles are works in progress. There will also be other articles by wisdom bearers from around the world as they become available. Visit the site often, as new items are being added frequently.

Features being added include updated structuring of web pages to allow for more frequent updates, and RSS feeds/email alerts for those who wish to know when Ancient Wisdom For Today or Stargazer's Journal has been updated.
